Well - last night I was given a cheap ticket to the Opera La Traviata by a work colleague and it was magnificent. Fantastic, detailed, period stage setting - beautiful velvets and satins and lace in the costumes and singers who were beautiful. Most magnificent was that my ticket was for the middle of the 5th row! The only other time I have been there was inthe second to back row in the top top floor! These photos are off the web but they are for the actual cast that I saw! The plot was very understandable and although they said it was a 3 hour production it went so fast!

Weather here in Sydney still hot and humid although a bit of rain at the weekend took the edge off the heat thank goodness. been working furiously to get a conference paper done - putting it together clarified my thoughts and ensure I got graphs etc in beautiful format for future reports. Gosh, it all takes time - I worked two nights till midnight! and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Peter has been home a week so it has been a bit quiet! Up to Glanmire at the weekend! and my Philosophy classes start this week which will be nice.
